Coffee Station

So anyone that knows me know that I am an avid coffee lover/drinker and that is putting is mildly. There is nothing better than that first sip of coffee in the morning (or any time of day), even if I end up heating it in the microwave ten times before eight o’clock!

That being said, my coffee paraphernalia was taking up half of the kitchen counter, so I had in the back of my mind to find some kind of rectangular table or sidebar for a dining room coffee station. A few weeks later, I stopped in Salvation Army and there in the corner, like a sunbeam from heaven, stood an antique drop-leaf table with spindly legs and the most amazing solid wood top I have ever seen!  Cue the hallelujah chorus!

I looked around to make sure no one else saw it first and then ran over to it with my three kids in tow! I couldn’t believe my eyes at the price…$35 for solid wood!  I was sold in about 30 seconds and crossed my fingers that I could fit it in the mini-van.  The nice man at Salvation Army helped me hoist it in the van and off I went!

That night I bought a container of American Decor Refreshing chalk paint.. Two coats on the spindle legs and I was ready to accessorize!

I cleared the kitchen counter for some extra space and set up the coffee station and I am so happy with the finished product!

Thanks Sarah! It’s currently my favorite spot in the house. Next time you are at your parents you will have to come up for coffee.
