This is kind of a ridiculous post, but wondering if any of you have these burner switches on a main wall of your home? Like smack dab in your face? I have never understood why builders place them in such strange places. Anyway, there is one of them on my hallway wall (bright red) staring me in the face every time I walk by. LOL, enough is enough, time to hide it!
Hello, strange little red flip switch…I know you are necessary for safety, but… 🙂
After searching for one of these accordion hooks for a little while, I found one at an estate sale this summer for 50 cents! I was pretty excited, because now I could decorate this wall and hide the red faceplate! Also, notice the phone jack on the right side of the wall. We use cell phones for our landline, so it sits there in the middle of the wall…and drives me crazy! I know, first world problems…but let’s just go with it from a design standpoint.
First, I hung the vintage hooks on the wall…(and when I say I hung I mean Lucas hung). 🙂
Next, I borrowed (stole) my daughters hat from her closet, and placed it over the red eyesore!!! Happy dance, because weird stuff like this makes me happy!
Then I grabbed my apron…
And a Target dollar spot chalkboard…
Lastly, a sweet Tunisian towel from my friend and another hat from the girls.
Now we have a cozy space off the kitchen that makes me happy! Much better than the red switch just hanging out on a main wall, don’t you think?!
